Man and woman in their 70s in hospital following collision with prison van
It happened in Hatfield yesterday afternoon
A woman in her 70s is fighting for her life after being hit by a prison van in Doncaster.
Police were called to Doncaster Road at the junction with Coppice Avenue in Hatfield at 3.34pm yesterday.
It's believed a GeoAmey prison transport van collided with two pedestrians.
A 77-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman were both taken to hospital.
The woman is in a life-threatening condition, whilst the man remains in hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with footage or information.

“We can confirm that a GEOAmey escort vehicle was involved in a collision with two pedestrians in Doncaster yesterday (13.11.24) during which they sustained serious injuries. South Yorkshire Police have put out an appeal for witnesses. Our thoughts are with the injured pedestrians and their families at this time.”
