Extra police are carrying out patrols in an area of Sheffield following reports of gunshots aimed at a property in Lowedges.

Armed officers were called to Gresley Road at around 22:40BST on Wednesday (24 April), where multiple shots were reported.

Police said no injuries were reported, and they had found evidence consistent with a firearms discharge.

A cordon remains in place while officers conduct further enquiries and there will be additional patrols in the Gresley Road area to "reassure members of the community".
