'Prolific' Doncaster burglar handed 12 year term after stealing valuables and vehicles
Troy-joe Frost stole vehicles and personal items in so called '2-in-1' burglaries
A prolific burglar from Doncaster has been jailed for 12 years after being linked to multiple burglaries and vehicle thefts.
Troy-joe Frost, a 20-year-old currently being held at HMP Doncaster, carried out so called '2-in-1 burglaries' – crimes involving breaking into homes to steal car keys and vehicles.
Frost was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on 1st December after pleading guilty to two aggravated burglaries – one of which took place in Lincolnshire – five burglaries, three thefts of a vehicle, one theft from a person, and one attempted burglary.
He was sentenced alongside 27-year-old Keenan Butler, of no fixed address, who admitted his role in one burglary and one attempted burglary.
Butler admitted to burglary, theft from a person, and attempted burglary, receiving a two-year prison sentence.
Detective Constable Mark Parry of South Yorkshire Police said: "The panic, fear and turmoil caused by having your home invaded by criminals is something no one should ever have to endure."
"I am pleased a comprehensive investigation encompassing eight incidents between October 2024 and March 2025 has now resulted in two prison sentences.
"I want to thank all the victims and witnesses for the big role they played in securing these convictions for Frost and Butler.
"Their diligent reporting of what had happened and their cooperation in providing footage and evidence to detectives has resulted in justice being served and I hope it gives the victims of these crimes some comfort after going through what must have been a traumatic ordeal."
