Sheffield men jailed after dealing Class A drugs in Barnsley
It's thought the pair were earning around £70,000 a month through criminal activity.
Two men have been jailed for a combined 12 years four months for the running of a drugs line supplying Class A drugs in the Barnsley area.
27 year olds Caleb Goulding of Gregg House Road, Sheffield and Salem Galab of Wensley Close, Sheffield, were each sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court earlier today.
Goulding admitted two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Galab pleased guilty to driving while disqualified, and two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
The pair were arrested following a covert police operation in December last year, with armed officers stopping Goulding and seizing £1,000 of cocaine and a burner phone.
Galab was detained shortly after and was found in possession of £5,000 of Class A drugs.
Further searches uncovered around £80,000 worth of cocaine, which was to be sold via the 'Zombie' drug line.
It's estimated the pair were netting in the region of £70,000 every month through criminal activity.
South Yorkshire Police Detective Constable David Gregg said:
"This operation has ensured a significant amount of drugs have been removed from our communities, with those responsible now spending time behind bars.
"We know that the supply of drugs is linked to serious organised and violent crime, with the effects being felt most in local communities by the residents in those areas. This is why we are dedicated to bringing those responsible to justice."
