16 year old victim of Huddersfield stabbing named by police

The victim's been named as 16-year-old Ahmad Mamdouh Al Ibrahim.

West Yorkshire Police have named the victim of a stabbing in Huddersfield as 16-year-old Ahmad Mamdouh Al Ibrahim.

A Kirkburton man has now been remanded in custody to appear before Leeds Crown Court.

20-year-old Alfie Franco, of The Park, Kirkburton, appeared before Leeds Magistrates Court this morning (5th April) charged with the murder of Ahmad, who was living in Huddersfield.

Ahmad had only very recently moved to Huddersfield from the South Wales area.

Alfie Franco will next appear before Leeds Crown Court on 8th April.

Officers are working to support the victim’s family and are continuing to investigate the fatal stabbing on Ramsden Street, Huddersfield on 3rd April.
