Wales' Euro 2024 dreams are still alive after beating Finland 4-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The match got off to a flying start with a goal from David Brookes in the 3rd minute of play. The Red Wall were screaming from the stands in celebration.

Wales then went 2-0 up in the 38th minute after a free kick from just outside the box from Neco Williams.

Wales were the obvious dominant team throughout the first half so hope began to build for the Welsh fans.

However, it was 2-1 at half time as Teemu Pukki scored for Finland just before the whistle went in the 45th minute.

The second half matched the first in excitement for the Welsh fans.

A goal in the 47th minute thanks to Brennan Johnson put Rob Page's side 3-1 up.

Wales thought they had another reason to celebrate due to a header from Ben Davies at 80 minutes, only for the goal to be disallowed due to a VAR decision.

But fans didn't despair for long. A fourth goal in the end came from Daniel James in the 86th minute, sealing Wales' place in the play-off finals.

Manager Rob Page came to the post-match press conference with a smile on his face.

"I think the smile speaks for itself," Page joked.

When asked what it was like not to rely on the likes of Aaron Ramsey to secure a win for Wales, Page said "He was always going to be a part of my squad, but he tides have changed now, we don't need to get him on the pitch."

Wales will play Poland on Tuesday at the Cardiff City Stadium and, with only one ticket to the Euros this summer in Germany, it will be a very stressful 90 minutes for the Red Wall.
