A member of the public who flagged down a police car in Swansea earlier today is urged to come forward.

The unknown man stopped officers in Verandah Street near Mount Pleasant, at around 4.30pm to report an assault taking place but he left the scene before his details could be taken.

He is now asked to contact police as he could have vital information as a witness.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident and a 32-year-old man is in hospital with facial injuries.
