A man has been jailed after pleading guilty to assaulting and strangling a woman.

Following a South Wales Police investigation, 26-year old Dylan Fuller of no fixed abode, was sentenced for assault by beating, ABH and intentional strangulation.

The offence took place on Sunday October 5, 2025, in Swansea, where Fuller punched and strangled his victim making her fear for her life.

Fuller was sentenced to two years in prison:

He appeared before Cardiff Crown Court earlier this week, where he was sentenced to a total of two years in prison. He is also subject to a restraining order lasting five years.

In a South Wales Police statement, PC Gregory said,

“Dylan Fuller launched a brazen and sustained attack against his victim making her fear for her life.

“Nobody should have to experience this type of abuse, and I'm pleased to see that in less than a month after the offence Fuller has been held accountable for his actions.

“I would like to commend the bravery of the victim for coming forward to the police and I hope that this result helps her move forward with her life”

The force continued:

"If you are suffering from physical, sexual, psychological or financial abuse, or are being threatened, intimidated or stalked by a current or previous partner or close family member, it’s likely you’re a victim of domestic abuse.

"You're not to blame for what's happening. You're not alone."
