Man pleads guilty to attempted murder of child in Welsh village
The 28 year old has appeared before Swansea Crown Court
A 28-year-old man has pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of a child in a Welsh village.
Rhydian Jamieson, from Cwm Cou, Newcastle Emlyn, appeared before Swansea Crown Court on Thursday, where he admitted harming the infant, who cannot be named for legal reasons.
Remanding Jamieson into custody, Judge Paul Thomas KC said: "I will deal with you on May 27."
The prosecution was represented by Caroline Rees KC and the defence by John Hipkin KC.
Police were called to an address in Y Ferwig, Ceredigion, at just before 10.15pm on Wednesday January 15 following reports concerning the welfare of a child.
The young infant was immediately taken to hospital.
