Newport assault: Second teenager arrested
A 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy have arrested following the incident near Nash Road
A second teenager has been arrested in connection with an incident in Newport.
Stop and search powers were enforced last night - but we're now told these have been lifted.
It follows reports of an assault near Nash Road yesterday (7 November) - in which we're told an 18-year-old man had to be rushed to hospital.
Luckily, his injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening or life changing - but shortly after the incident, they arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of a section 18 assault – wounding with intent.

In their latest update, Gwent Police confirmed: "The section 60 notice in Newport following a report of an assault in Nash Road has now been lifted.
"We’d like to thank residents and the wider community for their co-operation.
"Officers will remain in the area as they carry out enquiries into the alleged assault.
"A second person, a 17-year-old boy from Newport, has also been arrested in connection and remains in police custody.
