Kyle Vernon: Renewed appeal into dad's body found in river last year
Officers investigating the death of the 37-year-old are urging the public to come forward after his body was found in the Ogwr Fawr River on December 16
New footage has been released - showing the movements of 37-year-old dad Kyle Vernon - the day before he was found dead in a nearby river.
Officers investigating his death are asking the public for help with their inquiries.
Kyle was in the Ogwr Fawr River close to Cemetery Road in Ogmore Vale.
Detective Inspector Steve Jones said: "We continue to work to understand the circumstances around Kyle's death and have been speaking with people in the area and looking through local CCTV and doorcam footage.
"I am releasing this footage which shows Kyle at 8.59pm on Friday December 15 and as you can see, he is wearing a burgundy hooded top and dark grey tracksuit bottom.
"We need to fill the gap between this sighting and when Kyle was found in the river just over a mile down the valley, the distance between this sighting and where Kyle was found in the river could be walked in around 30 minutes.
"My team are trying to establish Kyle's movements in the hours that led up to him being in the river and as part of our investigation we are asking anyone who may have captured Kyle on any CCTV, dashcam or ring doorbell footage to please get in touch.
"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of North Road, paths around Ogmore Vale Primary School, Saville Road or Penllwyngwent Industrial Estate anytime after 8pm on Friday December 15 who may have information that could help officers in understanding the circumstances surrounding Kyle's death.
"Our thoughts remain with Kyle's family."
