Firefighters have freed a tangled dog stuck in a gap in Port Talbot.

Emergency services were called to an address on Park Street at 6.49pm on Wednesday last week (January 29th) to reports of a trapped dog.

A dog had run down a narrow gap between two brick-built outbuildings after being scared by a neighbour’s dog.

The dog then became tangled and stuck in a cable reel and was unable to turn around and get out.

Crew members used a ceiling hook to pull the entire cable reel out to free the dog and reunite him with his owners.

The crew left the scene fifteen minutes later.
