Train lines blocked as person dies on tracks in Southampton
The emergency services were called to the incident near St Denys station
All train lines between Southampton and Eastleigh are closed after a person died on the tracks.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the line close to St Denys at 9.26am on Wednesday following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended and sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
"Officers remain on scene working to identify the person and establish the circumstances behind their death."
South Western Railway is warning disruption is expected until 4.00pm.
