Three beaches on the south coast have been named as having some of the whitest sand in the UK.
Studland Bay, Bournemouth and West Wittering are included in a top ten list compiled by Parkdean Resorts.
A spokesperson said: "Sand colour is mainly determined by the material that the sand is made up of, the different rocks and minerals that are common around the coast of that particular beach.
"By analysing the shade of the UK’s top 50 beaches we’re able to rank the beaches by their sand tone, helping us define the top 10 UK beaches with the whitest sand."
