Police have renewed an appeal for information on the whereabouts of a missing Southampton mother of three who went missing two years ago.

Jo Sheen was seen by a police officer on November 30th, 2019, in the Newtown Nicholstown area of the city.

The last known sighting of Jo was a few days later, on December 5th, when she travelled by train from Fareham, back to Southampton, with a friend.

Jo, who was 44 years old when she disappeared, was reported missing by her family on February 22nd, 2020, after they had not heard from her for several months.

Police arrested five people on suspicion of conspiracy to murder last year.

All five people were questioned by officers, however no further action was taken against any of them in relation to Jo’s disappearance.

To mark two years since one of the last known sightings of Jo, Hampshire Constabulary has released a short film to appeal for further information.

Detective Inspector Toby Elcock said:

"Since February 2020 police have conducted extensive enquiries to try and find Jo. This has included a detailed search of the Empress Road area, an area we know Jo spent a lot of her time.

"We have spoken to numerous witnesses, including family, friends and associates of Jo, in order to find her.

"We know Jo did not have a permanent place of address. We also know Jo did not have a vehicle or a bank account.

"It has now been over two years since Jo's family and friends have been able to speak with her or hold her. They are desperate for information."

Jo is described as being white, around 5 feet 1 inches tall, of slim build with long dark brown hair.

Anyone who has seen Joanne or knows where she might be should call us on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting Operation Blackboard or 44200068330.

People can also submit information through the Hampshire Constabulary online portal.
