Network Rail is holding a public meeting later today (Sun 7 Nov) to give an update on the emergency repairs following last week's train crash in Salisbury.

The meeting will be hosted at St Mark's Church from 6pm this evening but will also be broadcast on Zoom.

Works still continue to recover and lift the damaged train carriages off the lines at Fisherton Tunnel and onto London Road where they are being taken away on low loader lorries.

All five of the damaged carriages have now been removed, with the fifth due to be lifted onto a low loader and removed this afternoon.

The fourth carriage was seen, wrapped in a tarpaulin earlier this morning, before it was taken away on a low-loader lorry.
