Motorcyclist badly injured in crash near Chichester

It happened at just after dawn on Friday (March 19th)

A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital after being seriously injured in a road collision just outside Chichester.

Emergency services went to the B2166 Lagness Road at Runcton at 6.40am on Friday (March 19th) after a motorcyclist and a car collided.

The 29-year-old man on the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was taken by road ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

The car driver was unhurt.

In a statement, Sussex Police said the B2166 was closed for the incident to be safely responded to and fully investigated, and was likely to remain closed for much of the morning with diversions in place.
