Man charged after assault on bus on the Isle of Wight
Police were called on Saturday afternoon
A man's been charged following an assault on a bus on the Isle of Wight.
Police were called after reports a 33-year-old man had been attacked on Saturday.
A 56-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested in Newport.
He's been charged with assault by beating, and a further three counts of assaulting a constable in the execution of his/her duty.
Martin D’Arcy is due to stand trial at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on 14 May 2026.
