Lorry and two cars crash on the M3

The drivers of two cars and a lorry had a lucky escape from a crash in Hampshire on Tuesday

Firefighters from Hartley Wintney, Fleet, Rushmoor and Basingstoke were called to the M3 southbound near Fleet Services shortly before 2pm.

Two cars and one car transporter were involved in the collision.

Hampshire Police said: "We were called at 1.40pm today (10 January) to reports of a road traffic collision on the M3 southbound near Fleet.

This involved two lorries and three cars.

Minor injuries have been reported."

Firefighters provided care to three casualties before cleaning up a small oil spillage.

The road was closed to make the scene safe.
