Homes left without water after failure at West Sussex supply works
Southern Water opened bottled water stations
Bottled water stations have reopened after up to 40,000 homes across West Sussex were left with little or no water over the weekend.
Southern Water said it was confident most supplies would be back on by late Monday morning.
The taps ran dry early on Sunday after a failure at the Hardham water supply works near Pulborough.
The company said it was 'recharging' the network, but it was taking longer than expected.
People in Turners Hill near Crawley were warned they may see low pressure or no water for a little while longer.
A Southern Water spokesperson said: "We know that GCSEs start today and we have a plan to ensure that the secondary school in the area has a direct water supply and experiences no disruption."
