Dorset's fraud squad have been called in to investigate a property management firm - which mostly operates in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

It's reported Initiative Property Management Limited has a portfolio of more than 2,000 flats and apartments.

The firm's website is down - with claims its offices are locked at Branksome Business Park in Poole.

Dorset Police say they're in the early stages of their investigation - but are keen to hear from anyone who thinks their property management company may have been affected.

Detective Inspector Andrew Kennard, of the Economic Crime Unit, said:

“It is the early stages of our investigation and preliminary enquiries are underway. We are keen to hear from anyone who thinks their property management company may have been affected.

“If you would like to report a matter to Dorset Police, in the first instance please can you find out whether a report has already been made in relation to your particular location to ensure only one report is submitted for each management contract.”

If you can help with any information, you're asked to call Dorset Police on 101, quoting reference number 55230141924.

You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
