Flooding possible as yellow weather warning for rain hits the South
We could see as much as 60 millimetres of rain across the region
As much as 60 millimetres of rain could fall in parts of the South today (Monday 4th December).
A yellow Met Office weather warning is now in place until 6 o'clock tonight for Dorset, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and Sussex
We're being told some flooding is possible, along with delays on the roads and rails.
At the moment, four flood alerts have also been issued for Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
In a statement, the Met Office said: "Heavy rain will affect parts of southern England, South Wales and the southwest Midlands during Monday.
"20-30 mm of rain falling widely with a few places seeing as much as 40-60 mm. What should I do? Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, or bus and train timetables, amending your travel plans if necessary.
"Be prepared for weather warnings to change quickly: when a weather warning is issued, the Met Office recommends staying up to date with the weather forecast in your area."
