Fire at Fawley oil refinery "safely contained"
ExxonMobil said no one was hurt by the "isolated fire"

A fire at Fawley oil refinery near Southampton has been brought under control.
Firefighters were called at around 12.00pm on Monday when plumes of smoke were seen billowing from the ExxonMobil site.
An ExxonMobil spokesperson said: "We have experienced an isolated fire on one of our units that on-site emergency teams, with assistance from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, moved quickly and have safely contained the incident."
No-one was injured and all workers were accounted for.
The company said it was using flares to burn off excess gas but their use is " completely safe and controlled".
