A new 'pop up' vaccination centre in Blandford Hospital will allow over-75s in Dorset to receive their Covid-19 spring booster jab.

The 75+ age group can book an appointment via the NHS National Booking Site: www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/

Appointments will be available from Saturday (11 June), with the clinic open for vaccinations on Saturdays and Sundays, from 9.30am – 4.30pm, going forwards.

Jane Parkinson, Vaccination Programme Manager at Dorset HealthCare, said:

“We are delighted to be opening this pop-up vaccination centre in Blandford for the 75+ age group to receive their spring booster. This will give local people the opportunity to access a clinic nearer to their home, so they can receive this life-saving jab.

“Booking appointments is a straightforward online process through the National Booking System and our experienced, friendly team will look forward to greeting you.”

The vaccination centre will be based in the Outpatients Clinic, and can be accessed via the side entrance of the hospital. A small car park will be available there.

A host of other smaller, more localised clinics have been opened recently to offer people a greater choice of when and where to get their jabs.

More information on where you can get your jab, whichever dose you need, is available on the Dorset HealthCare vaccination service web page: www.dorsethealthcare.nhs.uk/covid-19-vaccination-service.
