Police investigating organised vehicle crime in Dudley have charged two more men following raids across the borough last month.

Teams from the Dudley Vehicle Crime Team, the Priority Crime Team and the Operational Support Unit joined forces on 8 August to carry out warrants at homes and business addresses in areas including Halesowen and Kingswinford.

It was part of an ongoing investigation into stolen and cloned cars being given false MOT details.

Detectives have now confirmed that 35-year-old Martin Gwilliams, from Kingswinford, and 27-year-old Luke Evans, from Wordsley, have both been charged with conspiring to steal motor vehicles.

They are due before Dudley Magistrates’ Court on 25 September.

Two other men, 36-year-old Wayne Nicholls and 26-year-old Chad Wright, were previously charged with the same offence and are appearing at Wolverhampton Crown Court today (8 September).
