Transport for Wales have said the mainline between Hereford and Shrewsbury has now reopened following a collision between a train and a tractor trailor on the track near Leominster yesterday (Thursday 22nd May).

Customers are being urged to check before they travel and allow extra time for their journeys.

During the incident on Thursday the train was not derailed, but two passengers suffered minor injuries, according to British Transport Police.

The British Transport Police said on Friday morning that a 32-year-old man, from Bromyard, Herefordshire, arrested on suspicion of endangering safety on the railway had been released under investigation and officers were still working to establish circumstances leading up to the incident.
