Motorcyclist dead after fatal collision near Atcham

A man has been arrested and bailed as police investigate the crash on Friday

A motorcyclist has died following a fatal collision near Atcham.

The incident - which involved a black KTM 12 90 Superduke motorbike, and a silver Ford Focus - happened on the B4380 at Emstrey Bank, Atcham, at around 5:12pm on Friday.

The rider of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and bailed.

West Mercia Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage.

The force is particularly interested in hearing from anyone who saw a red Ford Mustang around the time of the incident.

They are also looking to identify the driver of a grey VW Transporter that was directly behind the Mustang at the traffic lights on a roundabout before the crash scene.
