A man who punched another man multiple times outside a Walsall nightclub, causing fatal injuries, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
Kejuan Malone, from Osprey Close, appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court (14 April) where he pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of 51-year-old Kevin Taylor.
Malone, aged 33, will be sentenced on 12 May.
West Midlands Police said Mr Taylor died after being punched multiple times by Malone outside of the Decode Lounge, on Lichfield Street, shortly before 5am on 7 December last year.
The attack, captured on CCTV, caused Mr Taylor to fall backwards and strike his head on the pavement.
The 51-year-old was unconscious on the floor for some time before a member of the public went to his aid to administer treatment while waiting for an ambulance to arrive.
He later died from his injuries.
Detective Inspector Dan Jarratt, who led the investigation, said: “This is a tragic case. Mr Taylor was enjoying a night out when his life was tragically taken.
“Mr Taylor’s family have been left devastated by his death and I just hope this conviction helps just a little as they try to come to terms with what has happened.
"My thoughts remain with them.”
