A study’s ranked places according to use on dating apps and common queries.
Newport in Wales was least desperate-to-date city, followed by Canterbury, then Bradford, with Oxford fourth.
The study conducted analysed nationwide search volumes using Google Keyword Planner. These volumes were then scaled against the population of each city to determine which cities search for dating apps and advice the most.
On average, residents in Newport were discovered to only search for ways to date 640 times a month per 100,000 residents. Surprisingly, this was 78% less than the average UK resident.
Canterbury was shown to be the second-least desperate city in the nation, with residents only searching for ways to date 826 times per month on average per 100,000 residents.
The third least interested in dating city was revealed to be Bradford. It was discovered that residents in Bradford searched 869 times a month on average per 100,000 residents.
Fourth was Oxford and it was discovered that in Oxford, residents searched for dating advice or apps 991 times per 100,000
