Jeremy Clarkson has confirmed a new name for his pub in Burford, Oxfordshire after announcing it on Instagram.

The star of Clarkson’s Farm revealed the pub will be called ‘The Farmers Dog’, with a new Instagram set up for the venue.

The property was a pub formerly called ‘The Windmill’ before it came under the new ownership.

Last week, Mr Clarkson posted on Twitter, saying that the venue will open this weekend.

Opening times have also been announced by Clarkson, with the Instagram explaining The Farmer’s Dog opens Friday 23rd August at 12pm.

The post said: "The Farmer’s Dog opens Friday 23rd August 12pm ..OX18 4HJ ///grinders.fruits.pints #backbritishfarmingdrinkhawkstone ..follow us to get the latest news."

The pub will serve locally sourced products and ingredients from around Oxfordshire and across the UK, to back British farming.

They will be using products from Clarkson’s own Diddly Squat Farm and the all-important pints will be his very own Hawkstone beer on draught.
