Over 20 Environment Agency warnings for flooding over areas near different stretches of river have been in place across Oxfordshire today (November 25th).

It's in the wake of Storm Bert which has brought more issues, with mild temperatures and high winds alongside heavy prolonged downpours across the weekend.

Fire crews and highway teams continue to deal with a number of issues countywide.

We visited Jon and Judi Beer’s house which is situated between the Oxford Canal and the River Cherwell.

The downstairs of their home flooded last night (Sunday 24th), with the villagers at Cropredy coming together to help.

Judi says she can't thank them enough:

"It is a testament to Cropredy people. They all want to help and have told us to give them a call, if we need assistance getting back on our feet after water levels rose affecting the inside of our home.

"Furthermore it's people we've only seen from a distance, and they aren't even close friends. All lovely people.

"We haven't decided what we'll have to get rid of. Probably a carpet may be. We were lucky in that our electrics weren't affected really. It's all been drying out today."

Fire crews, highways teams and emergency planners were exceptionally busy throughout the weekend assisting communities experiencing flooding impacts.
