A34 closures in Oxford this weekend
It's been closed since Friday at 9pm
The A34 southbound near Botley is due to be shut this weekend.
It's set to reopen at 5am on Monday 25th March.
National Highways say its part of their network enhancement project. It's reportedly for gas works by SGN for upgrade work.
National Highways say drivers should allow extra time during their journeys and follow the official route already in place.
A signed diversion will be in place using the following roads:
• A44 Woodstock Road
• A40 Sunderland Avenue
• A40 Elsfield Way
• A40 Northern Bypass road
• A40 North Way
• A4142 Eastern Bypass Road
• A423 Southern Bypass Road
SGN Gas say drivers should ensure any deliveries or visitors are aware of the closures and diversions. You may need to allow additional time for your journey.
They add "We're sorry for any inconvenience our work may cause - our traffic management measures have been carefully selected so that our work can be completed safely and efficiently."
