York bus timetables to change
9 routes will have alterations from this Sunday (27 June)
A number of bus routes in York are set to undergo alterations this weekend.
First Bus York says the changes to routes and timetables will improve the reliability of services.
It affects the 1, 2/2A, 3, 4, 5/5A, 6, S10 and 12 routes.
The York Hospital Bus Service will also change from Monday 2 August.

1: Chapelfields - Wigginton
- A revised timetable will be introduced to help improve punctuality and reliability
- Due to more traffic on the roads, afternoon peak journey times from approx. 2pm will be extended in the Clarence Street area
2/2A: Rawcliffe Bar Park & Ride
- Monday to Saturday services up to 8pm and Sunday services up to 6pm will revert back to operating as the service 2 using limited stops: Rawcliffe Bar, East Cottages, Clifton Green, NRM, Station Avenue, Museum Street, Ingram House, Clifton Green, East Cottages and Rawcliffe Bar
- Journeys after the above times will operate as service 2A stopping at intermediate bus stops
3: Askham Bar Park & Ride
- Due to the closure of the Park & Ride link road to Askham Bar there will be minor timetable changes from 6pm Monday to Fridays to allow extra journey times to facilitate temporary diversions
4: City Centre - Foxwood - Acomb
- There will be minor timetable changes
5/5A: Acomb - Strensall
- A revised timetable will be introduced to help improve punctuality and reliability
- Due to more traffic on the roads, afternoon peak journey times from approx. 2pm will be extended in the Clarence Street area
6: Clifton Moor - University
- A revised timetable will be introduced to help improve punctuality and reliability
- Monday to Saturday daytime services will now operate every 15 minutes
- Due to more traffic on the roads, afternoon peak journey times from approx. 2pm will be extended in the Clarence Street area
S10: Stamford Bridge - Archbishop Holgate School
- This duplicate school bus service will no longer operate. Alternative journeys will be available on service 10 as outlined below:
- 7:55am service from Stamford Bridge to Archbishop Holgate School
- 8:18am and 3:16pm service from Archbishop Holgate School arriving at Stamford Bridge by 3:41pm
12: Monks Cross - Foxwood
- There will be minor timetable changes
HSB: York Hospital Bus service
- Due to construction works, from Monday 2nd August HSB buses will be unable to serve the York Hospital Grounds
- For journeys from Rawcliffe Bar an alternative bus stop will be situated on Wigginton Road opposite York Hospital (stop 3290YYA00082)
- For journeys to Rawcliffe Bar from York Hospital the pick-up point will be Wigginton Road outside York Hospital (stop 3290YYA00083)
