There are cancellations to train services between Scarborough and York.

TransPennine Express say some lines are blocked due to a broken down train and disruption is expected until 2pm today.

Customers being are advised that TransPennine Express rail tickets will be accepted on Coastliner buses between Scarborough and York in both directions.

Rail replacement road transport is running between York, Malton, Seamer and Scarborough in both directions.

TransPennine Express on its website said: "We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to your journey today.

"If your journey has been delayed, you may be entitled to some compensation.
