Successful year of Scarborough Borough Council locality grant scheme

Over £75,000 had been awarded to local community projects and organisations

Scarborough Borough Council have been hearing about the success so far from the first year of the Locality Grants scheme.

Subject to approval by Council of the 2022/2023 Financial Strategy, funding of £92,000 will be available for that Financial Year for Locality Grants.

The aim of the Ward Member Better Places Locality Budgets scheme is to:

ï‚·Increase levels of community engagement at a very local level.

ï‚·Allow flexible and timely funding of small initiatives within communities, which provide flexible and immediate solutions

ï‚·Help communities to help themselves

ï‚·Enhance the wellbeing of our local communities
