Scarborough Coronavirus rate jumps again
The borough's average seven-day infection rate is now above 550.
There's been another rise in the Coronavirus rate in Scarborough.
As of last Thursday, the borough's average seven-day infection rate is 556, per 100,000 of the population.
Two weeks before that, it had dropped to 469, after exceeding 500.
Scarborough now has the third highest rate of any district in North Yorkshire and is also higher than the county's average of 536.
Ryedale, which early on in the pandemic had virtually no cases, now has an average rate of 581 per 100,000 people - two weeks ago it was 488.
The average figure for England is 413 per 100,000.
