Police hunt for stolen gardening tools in Ripon

Officers are looking for anyone who's been sold gardening tools in the last few days

Police are appealing for anyone with information about gardening tools, after a number of sheds were broken into in Ripon on Friday night (25 June).

At least 15 sheds were damaged and entered overnight between 25 and 26 June, at Fisher Green Allotments in Ripon.

Some had tools removed from them, and there was considerable damage to windows and doors.

Officers are now looking for anyone who was sold items near Ripon in the last few days.

In a statement, North Yorkshire Police added: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

"In particular, we are appealing for information about tools you may have been offered for sale and any witnesses to the incident.

"Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101. You can also email James.Skaith@northyorkshire.police.uk.
