Police van hits house in Scarborough

Investigations are underway into how it happened

An investigation's underway into how a police van responding to an emergency call hit a house in Scarborough.

The vehicle struck the home on Seamer Road just before 11pm on Friday night (3rd June), the two officers inside the van were unhurt.

The homeowner was also not injured but was found alternative temporary accommodation whilst structural engineers examined the property.

North Yorkshire Police are looking to speak to anyone who saw what happened.
