North Yorkshire Police Officers escape serious injury after bricks were thrown at them
The force had been responding to reports of anti-social behaviour in Scarborough
North Yorkshire Police Officers have escaped serious injury after being targeted in Scarborough.
They were called to reports of anti social behaviour in Eastfield on Sunday night (15 September).
Once they arrived, bricks and large stones were thrown at them.
No one was injured.
The force is now appealing for information.

'We’re appealing for information about a criminal damage incident in Eastfield.
'It happened on Sunday (15 September 2024) at 1am when we were responding to reports of youths causing anti-social behaviour on Maximus Road.
'On our arrival, we were deliberately targeted with bricks and large stones in a clear attempt to seriously injure officers. The youths were throwing the missiles from behind a fence on the building site opposite.
'As we retreated to a safe distance, the youths continued with their behaviour, causing damage to a vehicle parked on Roma Drive.
'One of the suspects has been identified as white boy, aged between 14 and 16, and wearing a white top, black shoes, black trousers and a grey jacket.
'The second suspect is white, aged 14 to 16, and he was wearing Nike skinny grey trousers.
'We are requesting assistance to try and identify the two offenders.
