£1.7 million approved to mend sea wall in Filey
£1.7 million has been approved to mend Filey's sea wall after the money came from the Environment Agency to fix the damage on some of it.

It's come from the Environment Agency to go towards fixing the damage on some of it.
Repair work will include installing some new rock armour.
It is not yet known when any work will start though.
Town Councillor, Mike Cockerill, who also sits on Scarborough Borough Council, said:
"Some years ago it was noticeable that there was deterioration on some of the facing of parts of the sea wall. The experts told us that this was being caused by the action of the sea.
"In rough weather, you get the waves crashing up against the sea wall but they pick up the sand from the beach and sand can be very abrasive. This is what they're suggesting has happened that the abrasive sand has worn away the concrete facing on some of the blocks.
"At the moment it's not dangerous and in places it looks terrible, so it is cosmetic. But if it had been allowed to continue then it could well have got far more dangerous and so it's a step in time. It's nipping it in the bud."
