Rise in infection rates across Borough of Scarborough
Scarborough Borough’s Covid-19 infection has jumped up once more after 28 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

Scarborough’s Covid-19 infection has jumped up once more after 28 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.
The borough’s seven-day infection rate rose to 171 cases per 100,000 people, up from 164 the previous day.
It means that Scarborough continues to be above the average rate for England, which now stands 154.
The average rate for North Yorkshire has risen slightly to 104.
The total number of cases in Scarborough since the start of the pandemic is 3,105.
Today, a mobile testing facility will be at the Marina Car Park in Whitby for people with symptoms to get tested.
Scarborough’s walk-in coronavirus testing site at William Street Coach Park is also offering testing seven days a week from 8am until 8pm.
Appointments for all sites must be booked in advance.
