Armed Forces Day National Event 2022: Greatest Hits Radio official media partner
Scarborough is set to host the event next month

Greatest Hits Radio has been announced as an official media partner for the Armed Forces Day National Event 2022.
The Armed Forces Day national event 2022 is set to be held in the Scarborough on Saturday 25th June, with various activities also taking place throughout the week across the Borough of Scarborough.
On the day itself, there will be appearances from members of the Royal Family, politicians and more. There will also be an appearance from the Red Arrows with a planned total of two hours of flying displays, a parade and the chance to get up close and personal with some of the army’s equipment and vehicles.
As many as 100,000 visitors, current and former military personnel and cadets will be on the Yorkshire Coast, as the nation says ‘thanks’ for the work of our armed forces and the wider defence community.
A programme of events leading up to Armed Forces Day involving local children and artists will also delight the expected crowds.
Greatest Hits Radio Yorkshire Coast will also be providing live traffic and travel updates on the day online, on DAB or on 96.2FM. On the day of the event, information will be given live from the car parks to broadcast on the regular traffic bulletins.
