Five injured in York crash

Three vehices were involved in the incident yesterday.

Five people have been injured in a crash in York.

It happened in Wiggington just before 12.20pm yesterday and in volved three vehicles.

Fire crews from Huntington and Acomb went to the scene.

Crews extricated two casualties from a vehicle and assisted ambulance crews in administering first aid and oxygen.

All casualties were transported to hospital, four by road ambulance and one by air ambulance.

Crews also helped remove a horse from a horsebox, which had been spooked when the air ambulance landed.

The horse box was not involved in the incident.
