Firefighters rescue young calf stuck in water tank near Ripon

Firefighters have come to the rescue of a young calf who got stuck in a water storage tank at a farm near Ripon.
It happened in the village of Kirkby Malzeard at around 4.35pm on Saturday afternoon.
Crews helped the farmer clear slurry and water out of the tank, and assisted a vet and the farmer with the recovery of the animal.
A tractor was used to hoist the two month old calf out of the tank.
The incident had a happy ending with the calf being uninjured and released back into the field.
