Cats killed in Colburn house fire
Crews from Richmond, Colburn and Bedale were called to the incident.
Two cats have died after a house fire in the Colburn area yesterday afternoon (21st November).
Crews from Richmond, Colburn and Bedale were called out to deal with a fire in the bedroom of a semi-detached property.
One male was checked over by paramedics for smoke inhalation, as a precautionary measure.
There was smoke damage to the whole of the first floor, and fire, heat and smoke damage to the bed, curtains and TV.
The cause hasn't yet been determined.
