Car and train crash at North Yorkshire level crossing
A driver's suffered serious injuries
An investigation's underway after a crash with a car and a train at a level crossing in North Yorkshire.
Police said it happened at Yatt's Road at Newbridge, near Pickering at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon (Sunday, 21 May).
Officers said one person - the driver of the car - was taken to hospital, with serious injuries.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the scene.
The road was closed for a few hours.
No further injuries were reported and the road reopened shortly after 5pm.
