The county's fire service say they're seeing a summer that's 'busier then normal' due a recent spate in wildfires.

Norfolk's firefighters have been called to over a hundred of these blazes since January. That's triple what was seen during this time in 2024.

"Really allows us to have a quicker response"

Simon Mason is from the service:

He says everyone has a role to play:

"Not having a bonfire in the back garden or not having your barbecues too close to wooden fences would be huge help to us when it comes to helping reduce some of those more accidental fires".

"We've invested in more smaller and more moveable wildlife vehicles, which allows us to get into areas like fields and forestry that you wouldn't traditionally want to take an 18 tonne fire engine on to. So all that really allows us to have a quicker response".
