Man charged after alleged assault in Norwich
A man in his 40s was injured during the incident
A man has been charged following an assault in Norwich.
Police were called to reports of two men fighting in the Rose Lane area at 4.17am yesterday (4th December).
The victim, a man in his 40s, sustained a head injury and was taken by ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.
Michael Stone, aged 34 and of no fixed address, has since been charged with wounding with intent.
He is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on 5th December 2025.
A police cordon was in place following the assault but has now been lifted.
