Three more charges have been made by North East police forces after recent disorder.

Northumbria Police tell us they've charged two men in connection with Sunderland city centre disorder investigation

David Hann, 58, of Ryhope Street South, Sunderland, and Kieran Usher, 32, of Bramwell Road, Hendon, were arrested on Thursday, August 15, as part of the investigation into recent disorder in Sunderland city centre.

Hann has since been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence, and Usher has since been charged with riot.

They are scheduled to appear before South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court today (Friday, August 16).

Meanwhile Durham Police have charged a man following violent disorder in Darlington last week.

Mujmain Uddin, of Greenbank Road, Darlington, has been charged with assault, violent disorder, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

The 21-year-old has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterlee Magistrates’ Court also today.

Investigations into the disorder which happened last Monday evening (August 5) are ongoing.
