Body found in search for missing Durham man

Durham police say they have found a body, as part of searches for a missing man from the county.

They say the family of a 53 year old called Paul have been informed, though formal identification is yet to take place.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

Paul’s family would like to thank members of the public for their kindness during the search – the countless messages of support have provided them great comfort during what has been, and continues to be, an extremely difficult time for them all.
